Being attractive means different things to different people. In what seems to be an increasingly superficial and pushy media sphere, the idea of beauty can get a little bit murky or be lost all together. One thing, however, is for certain. When you feel good, you look good. For many of us, this means weight loss.
Taking slimming pills in Singapore and signing up for every fad weight loss diet imaginable may or may not provide you with the appearance you were hoping for. It may not make you feel any better, though. If you are wanting to look better AND feel better, here are 3 tips that will help.
#1: Be realistic.
Sometimes people give up prematurely on their plans for fitness because they do too much too quickly. They get discouraged when they can’t complete everything the way they intended to and give up before any real progress can even be made. If you live a fairly active lifestyle already but are having trouble slimming down to a size you are comfortable with, then concentrate more on changes to your diet.
If you live a completely sedentary lifestyle setting aside reasonable amounts of time for physical activity. You can begin as small as 10 minutes every day. Even if the first day is easy, stick to your initial plan for a few days to make sure you don’t need to make adjustments to increase or decrease the amount of time and difficulty in your workout routine.
#2: Be prepared.
Believe it or not, planning and organization are enormous assets in the battle of the bulge. Planning out meals, being committed to a certain work out time every day, and being educated about what your body needs to succeed are all part of becoming a healthier and happier version of yourself.
If you are calorie counting, keeping track of the amount of fat or sugar in your diet, or if you are trying to lower blood pressure or cholesterol it is important that you pay close attention to nutrition labels when grocery shopping.
Research all fitness plans before implementing them into your daily routine. Consulting your physician before starting anything is crucial. It allows you to assess what kind of diet and exercise are right for your current level of fitness and your fitness goals.
#3: Be happy!
I know this suggestion seems silly, but it is incredibly important if you are hoping to succeed in your weight loss efforts. Life should not be miserable. If you wanted your life to be miserable you would just stay unhealthy. So have fun on the road to achieving your ideal body! If you aren’t sure what kind of healthy foods you like, get friends together and have a healthy potluck dinner where all of you swap recipes and cooking tips. Need help with portion control? Take your time eating. Enjoy every single bite of your food thoroughly.
If motivating yourself to be active is the problem, try interesting exercises. You don’t have to have a gym membership to be active. Try dancing until you are out of breath, jump roping, yoga or even just taking a walk while you listen to your favorite music and meditate on your body transformation goals. Whatever the road block is that makes you dread following through with your plan, take ownership of those challenges and find creative solutions that motivate you toward your weight loss.
Whatever size you are, however much you have to lose, just remember that it takes time. Stick with it. Don’t give up. It won’t be long before you are feeling so good that you actually look forward to all of the things that once intimidated you.
